Our dogs are OFA certified and have had their Thyroids checked. Their lineage come from the old classic foot hunting Ryman/Old Hemlock bloodlines. They also carry Twombly, PineCoble and Pinewild bloodlines as well. They have great character, intelligent, are affectionate and make wonderful hunting companions as well as a family pet. They are well trusted with children.
They have a strong desire to hunt and they hunt at a close range.... and are a pleasure to watch when they are at work in the field.
Welcome to our site....
We would like to share with you a little about us.
We have been breeding dogs for about 13 years. We have spent the past 10 years raising Ryman/Old Hemlock English Setters.
We are dedicated bird hunters and enjoy working with and training our dogs. We hunt all our dogs year around. When the season is open we hunt foot trails for grouse, quail and woodcock and we also hunt game farms for pheasant, chukars & quail. We also travel to South Dakota, Michigan, Minnesota, and here in Wisconsin to hunt different types of wild birds.
Abby and Bleu are our foundational Setters.....we feel very lucky to have these fine dogs. They started it all for us, and we are very proud of them. We also have Indy which has also become a fine/outstanding hunting dog. Through the years we have found it difficult to find the quality in a Setter we look for......when we bring a pup into our house they must carry the drive and intensity on birds that we look for....Our goal is to have outstanding, healthy, well rounded hunting dogs and to sell quality pups that require little training for the average hunter.
In 2006 we have come across Kasey which has become a very talented dog.....she has been outstanding for us and has been fully hunting since the age of 6 months. We have also brought in Dreu three years ago and Samantha joined our family as well; Samantha is a younger sister to Kasey with just as much talent. Both have shown us they have what it takes to become fine hunters. In early 2009 Coby & Huck joined our family and we have seen good things from both of them. In early 2010 Grace was born....she is an offspring from our Indy. We are hoping she has all the quality of her mother in the years to come. Our youngest is Sugar who was born in June of 2010 out of Abby.
Our puppy family has also grown throughout the past years and it has been wonderful watching each one grow into beautiful Setters. Thanks to all the owners that send pictures of there dog for the website.
This website is built for your enjoyment and for everyone who has the opportunity to be part of the Beirl Setters family.
Our goals are to breed healthy puppies with natural hunting instincts and great dispositions.
Our puppies are family raised. They are whelped inside our house in a whelping room until they are old enough to be moved outdoors. Then they are moved into a small kennel with their mother. They are smothered with love and well socialized from the minute they are born till they go to their new homes.
I believe the socialization and bonding the puppies receive early in life results in a well rounded dog.
The puppies receive 2-3 sets of shots and are wormed weekly before they go to their new homes.
The first shot is given at 5 weeks (parvo), and at 6&9 weeks old they are given a 5-way combination vaccine.
They will also have registration papers to be registered with American Field FDSB (Field Dog Stud Book).
We are small breeders and we only have a litter once or twice a year. All of our dogs are family pets and they all hunt. We enjoy raising and watching our puppies grow, and the happiness they bring to the new families that take one home.
There will be a $100 non-refundable deposit required to hold a puppy. If by chance we do not have the sex available you specified at the time of your pick, you can wait for the next available litter.
We will ship a puppy through out the USA at buyers expense.
If you are interested in one of our pups or would like to reserve one from an upcoming litter please e-mails us. If you need information or just have a question to ask feel free to e-mail us and we will kindly respond.
